Site Management Plans

A well-designed Site Management Plan can significantly enhance the value of a contaminated site by addressing perceived risks and providing a clear framework for the safe and sustainable use of the site.

The ENSR Team has amassed extensive experience in the development of Site Management Plans that address human and ecological risk associated with residual impacts that may remain at a given site, whether it is commercial, residential, parkland or landfills. ENSR Site Management Plans have been prepared to provide a user manual to be used by site owners, occupiers and/or contractors.

Site Management Plans typically address activities such as:

  • description of site conditions, nature and location of contamination and remediation measures completed;
  • roles and responsibilities of all key stakeholders;
  • environmental monitoring, including the setting of sunset provisions for when monitoring is no longer required;
  • inspection and maintenance requirements;
  • regulatory reporting, review and notification requirements;
  • occupational health and safety, and waste management protocols for excavation works; and
  • vegetation planning.

ENSR’s Site Management Plans have been used as part of site transaction negotiations, ongoing monitoring programs and advisory document for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
