Site Assessment

ENSR offers some of the leading contaminated site expertise in Australia.  With seven contaminated land auditors in-house and a hand-picked team from amongst the best talent in Australia, ENSR is able to provide clients with sound strategic advice and to deliver outcomes in the most cost-effective and time efficient manner. ENSR’s approach addresses the key risks and satisfies the needs of our clients, independent auditors and regulatory authorities.

ENSR places particular emphasis on a sound strategic approach to site assessment based on the extensive experience of our Principals who lead and direct our site assessment teams.  You can be sure that some of the best thinking and experience have been applied to your work to satisfy your specific requirements.  Whether it be solvents (light or dense phase non-aqueous liquids), heavy metals, hydrocarbons, explosives, munitions, or biological contaminants; whether it’s in the soil, soil gas, landfill, concrete, sediment, groundwater, streams, vegetation or biota, our team has the necessary experience.  We back that up with quality assurance protocols second to none to ensure the quality of our data and that our work follows appropriate National Environmental Protection Measure (NEPM) guidelines, State guidelines and Australian Standards.

Our teams understand the impact of upfront costs, especially from lengthy delays in obtaining approvals on property development, and we tailor our investigations commensurate with the risk, both contamination risk and strategic risk.  We minimise the frustration of seemingly endless investigation with apparent little result, by focusing on the outcomes required by our clients and the key risks and working hard for our clients to ensure the necessary agreements from auditors or regulatory authorities throughout the project.  And if it ends up in the courts, our experience providing expert witness testimony is second to none.

Delivering projects on time, on budget and in a coordinated and strategically sound manner, are all key performance indicators for ENSR teams.

Our contaminated land professionals work closely together with our experienced in-house planning team to ensure integrated approvals for development works.
