Darren Ellis
Principal Consultant, Director
Darren has worked as an environmental consultant for over 19 years conducting numerous surface water and groundwater studies related to mining, solid waste and waste water management, salinity, water supply and contaminated sites. He has worked on projects throughout Australia and South East Asia.
His first 6 years as a consultant were dominated by rural and outback groundwater investigations, identifying and establishing viable groundwater supplies for mine sites, communities, and farms predominantly in arid and remote areas of Australia. Later years of his career have revolved around undertaking complex hydrogeological, hydrological and contamination related studies and developing holistic business solutions that optimise use of groundwater/surface water and waste water as resources and promote environmental sustainability.
Having joined ENSR in 1999, Darren has held a number of roles, including Operations Manager for Victoria, as well as National Business Development Manager where he led the establishment of our Defence environmental panel team including its management and direction. He directed the Defence Services alliance from 2002-2005, which has successfully delivered a broad range of environmental projects for Defence across Australia.
