Sustainability

ENSR Australia is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its business activities, by embedding sustainability best practice into all that we do. We will act as a socially responsible corporate citizen and encourage our staff to operate in a similar way.

We will promote environmental sustainability through the efficient use of energy, conservation of natural resources, and avoidance of pollution through reuse, recycling, and reduction wherever practical at each stage of our business.

Specifically, we will minimise the carbon footprint of our operations by using clean energy where available; by reducing energy consumption through the use of more efficient lighting and air conditioning; by increasing use of teleconferencing to reduce travel; by flexible work practices, including telecommuting, where practical; by use of low emission vehicles; and by purchasing carbon credits to offset residual emissions.

In addition to the contributions that we can make to sustainability from our own internal operations, we believe our greatest potential contribution to global sustainability is through the work we perform for our clients.

We will work towards ISO 14001 accreditation.
